Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation was a moderator on the panel session “BRICS: boosting economic cooperation” in the framework of the program pillar “Dynamics of the global economy”. The session was dedicated to the development of economic cooperation between BRICS countries.  

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation successfully hosted the Russian-Spanish business forum. The President of CCI of Russia Sergei Katyrin in his opening remarks recalled that during the past few years contacts and regular meetings between Russia and Spain were significantly hampered. He expressed the hope that this business forum would be beneficial for the resumption of business activity.

The agreement on cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce was signed during the Russian-Philippine business forum in Moscow.

Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Vladimir Padalko made a welcoming speech at the teleconference "Kaluga-London" with the participation of the leadership of Kaluga region, local businessmen and representatives of British business.

On April 19, the Baltschug-Kempinski Hotel hosted the Russian-Lebanese Business Forum organized by the Russian-Lebanese Business Council with support of the CCI of Russia. This forum was held in frame of the visit to Moscow of the Lebanese delegation headed by the Minister of Economy and Trade of Lebanon Raed Khoury. 

The organizational meeting of the Russia-Argentina Council of Entrepreneurs took place in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on April 17th .

On April 14^th the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation held an annual meeting of the Committee on Economic Cooperation with countries of Asia and Oceania.

The Coordination Committee on Cooperation with the countries of Africa (AfroCom) general meeting took place at the CCI of Russia on April 7^th.

On April 1, a joint breakfast of the BRICS Business Council and the New Development Bank was held in New Delhi, India. Russian representatives of the BRICS Business Council took part in this event.

On March 31 the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russian Federation Vladimir Padalko took part in the meeting of the Russian-American Business Dialogue, which gathered more than 100 entrepreneurs from Russia and the United States.

From March 31^st to April 2^nd the Vice-President of the CCI of Russia Vladimir Dmitriev on behalf of the President of the CCI of Russia Sergey Katyrin led the Russian delegation in joint events of BRICS Business Council and New Development Bank in New Delhi. 

The global economic development is possible only in conditions of free trade with the participation of leading Asian economies said the President of CCI of Russia Sergei Katyrin. He stated this on the sidelines of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) where he headed Chamber’s delegation. The Russian government and business delegates were active participants at forum’s venues. 

In February 2017, Russia-Singapore Business Council organized a business mission to Singapore for the Russian aviation industry companies together with JSC Russian Aeronavigation and Information Systems and JSC YSAR+.

On March 1^st Vice President of the CCI of Russia Vladimir Padalko attended a meeting of the World Chambers Federation General Council at the headquarters of the WCF in Paris.

The delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia headed by the President of the CCI of Russia Sergey Katyrin took part in the Russian Investment Forum which started its work in Sochi from February 27^th to February 28^th.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation held a meeting of the President of the CCI of Russia Sergei Katyrin with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (IRA) Abdul Qayyum Khan.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation hosted a demonstration of investment opportunities of Tomsk region. The presentation gathered Russian and foreign entrepreneurs, the authorities, representatives of embassies, trade missions and journalists.

The President of CCI of Russia Sergey Katyrin took part in the panel discussion "The new tax policy of Russia: what changes we expect in 2018?" which took place on January 14 in Moscow within the Gaidar Forum.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation held a traditional festival of "Christmas on Ilyinka Street" which for the 13^th time organized the Church of the Prophet Elijah with the support of the CCI of Russia.

The event was attended by the Counsellor to the President of the CCI of Russia Georgi Petrov, representatives of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, Ministry of Economic Development, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and expert organizations. The Council discussed the most important innovations of the EAEU’s Customs Code.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation hosted another Business breakfast within the series "Meetings at Ilyinka Street". The guest of the meeting was the Head of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor), Chief State Sanitary Physician of the Russian Federation Anna Popova.

In his message, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said: "During all these years you facilitate the development of private initiative helping to build civilized relations between all market participants. The Chamber protects legitimate interests of business and that is especially important ensures effective two-way communication of the business community and the state.

In the World Trade Center took place the Primakov Readings International Forum dedicated to the memory of the scientist and public figure of Yevgeny Primakov. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin addressed the International Forum to emphasize the importance of Yevgeny Primakov’s academic and political heritage.

President of CCI of Russia Sergey Katyrin took part in the meeting of Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects chaired by President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The Council discussed support for non-resource exports and environmental development.

President of the CCI of Russia Sergey Katyrin is in Israel as part of the official delegation headed by Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.The head of the Russian government, met with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, in which also participated Sergey Katyrin. During the meeting the sides discussed a range of issues on the bilateral agenda, including economic cooperation and political interaction.
